昨日のブログにてご紹介したマデル講師によるコラムです。

Happy holidays !
This is Teacher Madel.
I am so glad that we can finally get to post and share our thoughts and ideas to all the Englishbuds page readers. I do hope that you could pick some useful tips from our posts.

I can still clearly remember when my big sister, Teacher Mel, first asked me if I would like to try to teach at Englishbuds.
I was very hesistant at first, and I honestly did not have that much confidence to teach English online.
I told my sister about all my worries and this was what she exactly told me, “Oh, you’ll be fine! I will guide you and I know you can do it! It also wasn’t easy for me when I first became an online English teacher.
I made a lot of mistakes and there were so many things about online teaching that I wasn’t familiar with.
But I just kept going and I kept learning along with my students. You’ll surely fall in love with this job!”

And she is so right. I did fell in love with online English teaching.
I do love this job with all my heart. I was always nervous and I really was struggling during my first few months as an online teacher. We grew up in a family of teachers and teaching has always been my passion. But there were times that I was asking myself if I could really do it. It was so good that my Ate Mel was always there to cheer me up and boost my confidence. She always made me laugh when I was turning so serious or when I was feeling down.

I also came to realize that nothing is impossible as long as you love what you are doing and as long as you keep trying.
I would like to give my biggest thanks to all the parents who let their kids study and practice English with me. I know that I am still lacking in some aspects as a teacher, but I will continue to improve myself and learn more ways to help my students. Thank you so much, Mommies and Daddies!

To Mommy Kayo, I can never find enough words to tell you how thankful I am to you for giving me an opportunity to be one of the teachers here at Englishbuds. Thank you for trusting me and for helping me find the job that would truly make me feel fulfilled and appreciated. Thank you for always being so patient and understanding. I will continue doing my best and I will keep improving myself to better serve our students.

I would also like to thank my Ate Mel for your never ending support and patience. You truly are my BESTEST FRIEND! I hope that you won’t get tired of guiding and helping me. You know that I am always here for you and I love you.

Thank you again everyone! Let us all keep doing our best! Thank you for supporting Englishbuds. You can all count that we will do our best to help your children learn English.

皆さんが私たちの投稿から有益な助言を得てくださるといいなと思っています。

私は姉のメルが私に「Englishbudsで英語を教えてみない？」と初めて尋ねた時のことを今でもはっきりと覚えています。
最初私はとてもためらいました。私はオンラインで教えることにあまり自信がなかったのです。
私は姉に私の心配のすべてを伝えました。その時、姉は私にこう言いました。
「大丈夫よ。私が教えてあげるし、マデルならできるよ！私も初めてオンラインで教えたときは簡単じゃなかった。たくさん間違いもしたし、慣れていないこともたくさんあったわ。でも私は生徒さんたちとずっと学び続けてきたよ。きっとこの仕事のことが大好きになるよ！」

メルが言ったことは本当でした。私はオンラインで英語を教えることが大好きになりました。
心からこの仕事が好きです。最初の数ヶ月は、オンラインの講師として、いつも心配でしたし、がむしゃらでした。私たちは教員一家で育ち、教えることは私の情熱でした。（注：メルとマデルのお母さんは小学校の先生です。）しかし私は時々「ちゃんとできているのかなぁ」と思うことがありました。姉がいつもそばにいて私を励まし、自信をくれて本当に良かったです。彼女は私が落ち込んでしまった時、悩んでしまった時、いつも笑わせてくれました。

取り組んでいることを愛し、挑戦し続ける限り、不可能なことはないのだと思うようになりました。
私にお子さんの英語学習をお任せくださっているご両親に感謝したいと思います。私はまだ講師として足りないところがあると自覚していますが、私は今後もよりよいレッスンがご提供できるよう努めていきます。ご父兄の方、本当にありがとうございます。

MommyKayoへ。私にEnglishbudsの講師になるチャンスを与えてくれた感謝の気持ちを表す言葉が私は見つけられないくらいです。私を信頼してくれ、やりがいを感じられる仕事を与えてくれてありがとう。いつも理解してくれてありがとう。これからもベストを尽くし、今まで以上に生徒の皆さんによいレッスンが提供できるように頑張ります。

私の姉メルに、私への常に惜しみないサポートに感謝したいと思います。あたなは本当に私の一番最良の友達です。これからもずっと私のことを支えてくださいね。私はこれからもあなたのそばにいます。大好きです！
