日本でも緊急事態宣言の延長が決まりましたが

フィリピンでもロックダウンが延長されています。

フィリピンでのロックダウンは

日本の外出自粛からは想像もできないくらい

厳しいもののようです。

外出が厳しく制限されており

許可証がないと外出できないそうで

大変不便な生活を送っているそうです。

It is still kind of hard to believe that we are really facing this kind of pandemic.
We used to just see this kind of situation in movies, right?..
Who would have thought that a pandemic, like COVID-19, would actually spread and infect millions of people around the globe.
I still find it weird and scary every time I go out and see all people wearing masks…
Have you ever seen the 2011 movie “Contagion”? It gives me the creeps thinking just how this movie
depicts the situation that we are facing right now…

Oh! And I would like to talk about the news that’s spreading about one of the orders that President Duterte gave to the police　and military for the lockdown violators.
Many asked us if it was true that President Duterte ordered these officers to shoot the violators dead.
I was also shocked when I heard about it so I immediately checked the said news.
The truth is he was just misquoted by the media. It’s sad that some mediamen do not hesitate to bend the truth for the sake of getting more readers or viewers.
His exact words were actually these, “My orders to the police and military… if there is trouble and there is an occasion that they fight back and your lives are in danger, shoot them dead. Is that understood? Instead of causing trouble, I will bury you.” If you will not try to understand it deeply and if one will not put aside his/her prejudices, there is a big possiblility that you will think of this order so evil. He really is a kind man (with a venomous tongue, hehe) . He truly cares for us, Filipinos.
Our president is notorious for his harsh and brutal words everytime he speaks to the public or every time he addresses some issues.
I, myself , can’t help but feel irritated with his brutal words sometimes, but many of us know that he really has genuine love for his country and his coutrymen.
It is just so disheartening that some people choose to spread hate instead of cooperating to fight this pandemic. We should all work together as ONE to fight COVID-19, right?..

Though it seems like there is a dark cloud looming above us now, please believe that brighters days are ahead of us…
