まさにTGIF( Thanks God It’s Friday!)です！
Time flies by in the blink of an eye. I can’t believe that it’s been ten months since I gave birth to my precious little son, Matthew. Motherhood is not an easy journey. The various transitions that we have to go through as first-time moms may be overwhelming. But, being a mother gives us the greatest sense of happiness and fulfilment in life. It gives us a whole new perspective about the world.
Our child is and will always be our source of inspiration and joy. No matter how tough things get, our child gives us renewed strength to weather through any storm and obstacles in life. As a working mom, I encountered a lot of challenges, trials and difficulties especially when it comes to time management. At the beginning of this journey, I was determined to exclusively breastfeed my son and to be a hands on mom. Thus, despite my hectic schedule as a lawyer and teacher, I always see to it that I give my full attention and dedication to baby Matthew.
This is one of the reasons why my husband, Anthony and I have decided to put up our own law office last 2019. In this way, we have control of own time and schedule at work. With this flexible work arrangement, we can dedicate much of our time in taking care of our son.
While our law office is physically closed during the government mandated community quarantine in light of the corona virus outbreak, Anthony and I are also grateful to be given the opportunity to teach kids here at Englishbuds. We are really blessed to be a part of the Englishbuds family wherein the administrator, the students and their parents understand our schedule. We are free to open our availability for lessons based on our own time. This allows us to spend quality time with our little boy in most parts of the day.
Amidst the difficulties that we are currently facing due to the global pandemic, we are still thankful for the gift of life. We thank God for our little Matt who is our source of inspiration and hope in these trying times. We are also grateful to Englishbuds and our students for allowing us to conduct fun and insightful virtual classes. Every day, we look forward to meeting you all online.
