【レポート】MINECRAFTグループレッスン♪

去る１２日、１３日に

MINECRAFTグループレッスンが開催されました♪

今回参加くださった方以外から

「どんなレッスンになったのか教えてください！」

というご依頼をいただきましたので

今後参加を検討されている方の参考になればと思い、

レポをアップさせていただきます(^^)

マインクラフトというゲームは

遊び方の多様性が魅力の一つであると思ったため

レッスンのテーマを設けないことにしました。

その時に集まった参加者で何がしたいかを決め、

協力して進めて欲しかったのです。

メルによりますと

１２日のレッスンと１３日のレッスンは

まるで違う感じのレッスンとなったそうです(^^)

その違いなどを含めて

まずはメルからのレポートをお読みくださいませ♪

Englishbuds never stops finding new ways to make learning English fun , interesting and effective for the young learners. Just recently, Mommy Kayo came up with the idea of using Minecraft in our group lessons. Minecraft is popular with gamers and is recently becoming trendy and widely used in education. Yes, that is right, Minecraft is educational because it enhances their creativity, problem-solving tecniques, and other life skills. It also teaches children the importance and benefits of teamwork.

Last Friday, we had our first Minecraft group lesson. Three students, 2 boys and 1 girl, participated in the group lesson. We started by letting the partipants introduce themselves and share why they love playing minecraft. I also asked them about what they really enjoy doing the most in Minecraft.
Before we started playing, we had a short discussion on what we would do in the Minecraft Realms that Mommy Kayo has set up for Englishbuds Minecraft group lessons. We, then, all decided to assign different task for each participant. We pretended like we were a family in that game and we just moved to that place. One of the boys built an awesome house with an attic, the other boy built a brilliant animal fence and filled it with farm animals, and the only girl participant built an amazing bridge and helped me with the house interior decorating. We ended up making a lot of great stuff in Minecraft and I could say that everyone had a blast working with each other and appreciating each other’s work. Oh, and we had a fit chasing all those villagers who kept getting into our house and occupying our beds! It was exhilirating!

The Saturday group lesson members were all boys. It was a lot different from the previous one that I had but definitely super fun as well. We also started off by asking them each of them to introduce themselves and tell why they enjoy playing Minecraft. The second group all love building traps and fighting the villains in Minecraft (It was amazing that the members were grouped perfectly according to what they enjoy doing in Minecraft!). We then proceeded to Englishbuds Realm and each of them immediately got busy building incredible and fun things while I was observing and asking them some questions so we could all learn something new. They built things, like TNT launcher, TNT jump, parkour obstacles and more. One of them built an end portal and we all fought and defeated the Ender Dragon. After that, we challenged all the participants to try the parkour obstacles that each of them made. They were kind of really hard to finish that we ended laughing a lot. It really was super exciting and fun and I could learn a lot of new things about minecraft from them.

Playing Minecraft, I think, really is a very useful way of making learning English so much more fun and creative for our children. And I was happy seeing all my students doing their best to work well with the other participants and I loved it that they did not forget to commend each other’s work no matter how simple it was. Minecraft group lesson was a beautiful experience for all of us who participated in it, I am so sure of that. And I really cannot wait to have more new adventures with all the members of this group lesson. Thank you so much for Mommies and Daddies for letting your precious ones join this program. We will continue doing our best in providing unique, fun and effective English lessons for your little ones.

本日はありがとうございました！
息子は元々あまり話さないタイプで、年齢が上がるにつれ、
オンラインレッスンを嫌がるようになり、
もう無理かなと思っていましたが、
今日のゲームレッスンはここ最近の数年間で
一番気持ちが入ってました(^^)

誰に強制されるでもなく、
自発的に話したくなる、そんなレッスンでした。
（これは息子にとってはすごく重要です。）

メル先生は久しぶりでしたが、
振り方や引き出し方がやっぱり上手ですね！

お友達も英語が上手で息子も刺激を受けた事と思います。

そしてカヨさんがこの仕組みを考えてくださったからこそ、
この様な楽しいレッスンを経験する事が出来、感謝しております。

また機会があれば参加させていただきたいです。ありがとうございました。

小学校４年生、ゲーム大好き男子が参加しました。
レッスン開始少し前にRealmsに入ったのですが、
お友達を見つけた瞬間からテンションがあがっていました。

レッスンが始まると自己紹介・やりたい事を順番に発表し、
その後実際に作りたいものを各々作っていました。

またアイテムの交換もして楽しんでいました。

ゲーム中は制作に夢中になるあまり
Mel先生からの質問に返答してない時もあり、
やきもきする場面もありましが、
Mel先生が再度質問してくれたり他のお友達に話を振ってくれたり、
時には見守ってくれたり…と臨機応変にレッスンを進行して下さり、
さすがEnglishbudsのレッスンだなと思いながら見ていました。

レッスン終盤は、
自分の作品を見せたりお友達の作品を見たり遊んだりしていました。

終了後は開口一番「やって良かった～！」と、
とても楽しかった様で早くも次のレッスンが待ちきれない様子です。

また普段は先生の質問に“Yes.”“No.”“So-so.”の返答が多い息子ですが、
今回はMel先生やお友達に伝えたい！という気持ちがあり、
センテンスで話そうする姿が見られて私も嬉しくなりました。

Kayo様の仰るアウトプットの扉がこれを機会に開いてくれたら…
と若干の願いも込めつつこれからも参加したいです。

今回初めてマインクラフトのグループレッスンに
参加させていただきました。

Realmsにインして、
同レッスンの生徒さんを見つけると息子はテンションアップ！

メル先生のキャラクター（スキン）がとても可愛くて、
ますます親しみを覚えてしまいました♪

他のグループレッスンに参加してもそうなのですが、
初めての生徒さん同士でもすぐ打ち解けさせてくれるメル先生。

今回はクリエイティブモードで物作りをしたりしていたようなのですが、
会話が途切れることなく英語を引き出しながら
進めてくれるリードは流石！と思いました。

男の子の中ではTNTブロックが不動の人気なようですね(^o^)

ちなみに息子が作っていたのは、
“Parkour”というものだと後で知りました。

ゲームから覚えてくる単語が
沢山あっていつもビックリさせられます。

レッスンが終わって、
「次はいつなのー？」とすぐ聞いてきた位楽しかったようです(^ ^)

マインクラフト好きの息子に、
これとないアウトプットの機会を与えてくれたKayo先生には感謝してもしきれません！
