【講師コラム】アンソニー講師No. 8～Traveling to Tourist Attractions for Anime Fanatics in Japan ～

Japanese animation has gained tremendous popularity on a worldwide scale. One of the many reasons I want to visit Japan is to personally experience the rich anime culture in the country. Reading manga comics or graphic novels and watching anime are very deeply ingrained in their modern culture and way of life. I too like watching Japanese animation and I appreciate their storylines and the distinctive qualities of each of the animated characters.
Aside from the beuatiful sightseeing spots that my wife has prepared in her bucket list, I have heard that there are travel agencies in Japan that organize special tours intended for anime and manga lovers. Among the most famous spots in Tokyo that will surely captivate the interests of anime enthusiasts are the Studio Ghibli Museum, Pokemon Center Mega Tokyo, Akihabara, Tokyo One Piece Tower and Odaiba Gundam. These modern anime centers feature numerous comics, high end animations, games, souvenirs and anime characters which will definitely attract fans all over the world.
I look forward to bringing our son Matthew in an anime-inspired outdoor attraction within the Awajishima Prefectural Park which is located in the southwestern part of Osaka particularly in the island of Awaji. As a tourist attraction for anime lovers, Nijigen no Mori seeks to add a new dimension to their outdoor adventures in order to bring the park-goers into a whole new different world that showcases the most well-known Japanese animations with their favorite iconic characters. As a family, are excited to try out the variety of animation entertainments suitable for all ages and fun-filled activities from dusk till dawn. We also look forward to see its latest attraction which was launched in April of 2019 called the “Naruto and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations”.
In addition to the anime-themed tourist attractions that we intend to visit, I am also specifically interested to try different kinds of Japanese dishes such as Wagyu beef, Sushi and Tempura. My most favorite of all is the ramen which is also inspired by my interest in the anime, Naruto.
