Success is the Sum of Small Efforts Repeated Day-in and Day-out
I have always been a firm believer of the importance of hard work and sheer determination in order to achieve our goals in life. This principle is encapsulated in the quote “Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day-in and day-out” by Robert Collier who is a famous American author of self-help books. It is true that success does not happen overnight. It takes a lot of effort, motivation and patience. This has been my mantra and inspiration in all my personal endeavors. Having this kind of mindset has helped me get through the most challenging times of my life especially in my journey towards becoming a lawyer and it has molded me into the person that I am now.
Over the years, I have realized that success is about overcoming the challenges and celebrating the accomplishments. To be able to reach our dreams and aspirations in life, we need to constantly improve ourselves. When I was still a student, I was always motivated to do my best each day and to strive for excellence. The key to success is our motivation and willingness to do everything it takes. The road to success may be tough and challenging. What is important is to never give up. We can make sure that we put a lot of effort and our whole heart into our studies/work every single day. If we want to succeed, then we have to make it happen.
I also share this philosophy to my students in Englishbuds especially for those who are preparing for a major exam or a standardized test. I always remind them of the importance of hard work and preparation in order to improve their skills and strengthen their ability to complete any task smoothly and accurately. This is a continuous process of self-improvement, which results in success one day.
Motivation is one of the vital factors to be successful in any phase of your life. When we stay motivated each day, it will push us closer to our goals. I also encourage students to learn to remain calm and to stay motivated even when going through a hard day. The same principle also applies in learning a secondary language. Practice makes perfect. Planning, motivation and strong will can definitely go a long way. The sum of all our small efforts can be our stairs to achieve success.
