【講師コラム】アンソニー講師No.12～ Summer Means More Family Time ～

Summer in the Philippines can be really hot. It is the perfect time to find a relaxing place to spend time with the family. My wife planned for our summer getaway even before the season started. We were able to spend quality time at an exclusive pool. Our son, Matthew definitely enjoyed the experience because he rarely goes outside since the pandemic started. He enjoyed swimming and strolling around the waterpark resort. Aside from taking a vacation and relaxing, summer also means getting to spend more time with the family at home and focus on our child’s well-being.

Recently, we encouraged our son to join in online arts and crafts workshop. We hope to engaged him in workshops or fun activities that he is passionate about or could be interested in. He will be joining group art classes too. It will develop his social skills as he can get to interact with other kids of his age while doing what they love. It’s a good way to hone our child’s skills-set and develop his talents.

Summer activities is also about discovering new things that can spark the imagination of our son. Some of these activities that he is interested in is playing LEGO blocks, building cars with different parts and playing racing games. We noticed that he really enjoys playing strategic games with us. The whole family likes to play Mario party in Nintendo switch, puzzles and other fun games that will help Matthew to learn how to use his problem-solving skills.

For us, summer definitely means spending more family time especially with our little boy, Matthew. More than just going on a vacation, what matters most is that we e get to experience a lot of new things that we appreciate together as a family. It makes summer worth remembering and something that we will always cherish.
