It is always a challenge for every parent to find the right approach that we could use to make our little ones enjoy learning a foreign languange. Some aprroaches are effective for some children, but that would not guarantee that those approaches would work for others, too. That is why Englishbuds never stops to find and offer new ways for our young learners to effectively learn English in a super fun and exciting way.
We believe that one of the best ways to to make children enjoy learning a second language is through play-like activities. In my 14 years of journey as an online English teacher, I have noticed that many children tend to talk and interact more when you try to get into their colorful world and play with them.
It has been a few weeks since we started having Minecraft group lesson, and we are extremely grateful to all of the moms and dads who let their young ones join the group lesson. Thank you so much for the good reviews, Mommies and Daddies!
I truly had an amazing and super fun time with all the participants.
Through Minecraft, the participants were able to show their creativity and personalities. One of them tried to build a treehouse for the time, and it turned out to be sooooo cute. One built an extremely big and difficult to finish parkour obstacle course and one built this TNT jump that we all enjoyed trying out. Last Friday, a participant built this big roller coaster and we had a blast riding it. The other playful participant spawned a lot of hens in the river that we made us laugh so hard. And last Saturday, the group lesson members decided to build their houses. One boy built a really good modern white house, one built a colorful and cozy looking loghouse and called it “ENGLISH HOUSE”, and the other other member built a nice and BIG house with a BIG veranda where we could play soccer. I had an amazing time watching them while they where building different things, and it was truly awesome to watch how their personalities slowly showed up as we continued playing together. What’s even more amazing is that eventhough they have different personalities and some of them have different things that they like to do in Minecraft, each of them did their best to get along well and have fun with the other members.
Oh, and there was one time one of the participants announced that his birthday was coming soon, so we decided to sing him a birthday song. But little did we know that our girl participant was actually thinking of preparing a birthday surprise for him inside the house that we built. While everyone was busy working on something, she was also busy decorating the room for a surprise birthday party ( I took a screenshot of it). It truly was sooooooooo heartwarming… I am so delighted that some were actually able to find friends in the other members of the group lesson.
I am thankful that Mommy Kayo came up with the idea of giving Minecraft group lesson. I never thought that I would enjoy playing Minecraft with the students this much, and I am honestly looking forward to sharing more adventures and building our English Town with all the participants of the group lesson. Thank you so much, Mommies and Daddies. THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts.
