My extremely adorable, lovable, and cuddly  dogs!

Happy Friday, everyone!!!  Merry, merry Christmas!!! It’s been a while since I last wrote something for Englishbuds tutors’  blog entry. How are you doing, Mommies and Daddies? Have you already shopped for your kids’ Christmas wishes from “SANTA” this year? I hope they are not asking for something sooooo pricey. Filipinos are really excited about this year’s Christmas. For the first time after the lockdowns that we experienced because of the spread of COVID19 in 2000, Filipinos can finally enjoy holding Christmas parties and family reunions again. Children are looking forward to wearing their fancy clothes and shoes and go to their relatives and neighbors’ houses to ask for a simple AGUINALDO (present).

Oh, by the way, today, I will be talking about my extremely adorable, lovable, and cuddly dogs. Although I have always loved animals, especially dogs, I didn’t really have an experience in taking care of pets before having my three dogs. My sister, Teacher Mel, is the one who really is fixated on taking care of animals. And she is the very reason why I am now crazy about my furry babies.

It all started when Teacher Mel brought home a golden retriever for our father. I knew from the very start that I would be the one in charge of taking care of the puppy.  Keeping a pet is never an easy thing, so I was a bit worried about it. But I forgot all about those worries when I saw the puppy. She was sooooooo beautiful and cute. Since I would be the one to take care of her, I said that it was only right that I should be the one to give her a name. And I named her COCO, my pretty, naughty, and bratty COCO. I really had a tough time taking care of Coco during her first few months with us. She got very sick and almost died when she was just 3 months old. But I couldn’t just give up on her, so I did all I could to save her. Even if that meant spending all my money for her checkups and medication. It really left me almost penniless when she got all better. But I have no regrets. She is my baby and she is a priceless part of our family.  She is 2 years old now, and she really is such a beauty. Everyone in our neighborhood knows her. Whenever we walk outside, people would ask if they could pet her, and I could that Coco is enjoying all the attention that she’s getting.

Coco was such a picky eater. I can remember I would sometime cry in frustration because Coco wouldn’t eat for a few days. She literally wasted a lot of dog food!!! Teacher Mel would always say, “Oh, my!!! You should have just given them to my dogs, Coco!!!”, whenever she was home. I was really worried about her, so I thought that maybe having another dog would help. That time, one of Teacher Mel’s dachshunds was pregnant, so I told her that I can take one of the puppies. But her dog gave birth to six puppies, so I ended up having two puppies instead of just one. Teacher Mel used to bring all of the six puppies with her whenever she was going back home. And Coco was extremely happy and excited every time she was playing and eating with those tiny sausage looking puppies. I would have loved to keep all of them if only I had a big yard. We named the little sausages Timothy (Timmy) and Samantha (Sammy). Timmy is a handsome, black dachshund. He is really handsome and would always look at you with his begging eyes. Sammy is a very clever and sweet girl. She loves attention and always cries whenever I get out of the room. They are now Coco’s best buddies and they make a chaotic trio.

Taking care of three dogs is such a hard work and can be really stressful at times. If I could go back in time, I would still choose to have them. My Coco, Timmy, and Sammy are my daily doses of happiness and comfort. I cannot really buy a lot of stuff for myself because I need to take care of my family and I have to buy furry babies’ nutritious food and vitamins, but I am okay with that. I am happy as long as they are healthy and eating well. The love, comfort and affection that I get from my babies are just priceless. I think all animals are really beautiful and worth loving. I can’t believe how some people fail to see how precious and pure these creatures are. I really hope that time would come that this world would be a safe and happy place to live in not only for humans, but for all other creatures as well. That would be it from me this time, Mommies and Daddies. I hope that you enjoyed reading my story about my three lovely dogs. Thank you so much for always supporting Englishbuds. Thank you always, Mommy Kayo. I wish you all a happy Christmas with your loved ones and a wonderful and prosperous New Year. May 2023 be kinder and gentler to all of us…
