What would I do if I won the lottery?
Lotteries are matters of mere chance. One does not have to show any skill or intelligence to do it.The only thing necessary is to buy lottery tickets. If, by the grace of God, I win a lottery, I will feel on top of the world and experience a never-before felt joy. And in terms of investments, I will invest it in various areas such as real estate, the stock market, and mutual funds.
All my dreams and aspirations could be achieved if I won the lottery. At first, I will give a portion of the money to my father and mother. As we are almost landless people, I would request that they buy some land where we can build our own house and grow some plants to farm. I will spend an amount for this investment, as this will bring me peace and comfort. With my parents and other members of the family, we will visit the church and make generous offerings as an act of gratitude.
Next, I will ask my mother to make a list of the most essential things for our family, including foods, appliances, materials for the house, etc. I will spend freely for the comfort of my parents and siblings. Since I am also aware of the fact that we are not that privileged and that we sometimes borrow money from our relatives, I will settle all debts and make sure they have enough money to live the rest of their lives comfortably. Then I will buy good and fashioned clothes for the members of our family.
Once I can provide my family with all they need and want, I will start distributing my allocatedmoney to all my investment portfolios. I will buy assets in the form of houses, as this will surely grow over time. I can sense that with my real estate investment, I can sleep with ease of mind. I will also start learning the ropes of the stock market and mutual funds. I am aware that these kinds of investments are risky, hence, equipping myself with knowledge and skills will be essential.
Nonetheless, winning a lottery is just a mere chance of 1% out of 100%. So self-investment is still the best investment I could make as a person who seeks excellence and success in life. Life may sometimes be about chances and luck, but I personally still value the sense of hard work.
