【講師コラム】アダム講師No.9～Good Materials and Ways to Learn the English Language～

Parents are getting excited once their babies started to learn how to crawl, walk, speak, recognize objects, and many more. Every single word learned by babies is documented. It is natural for them to learn new things, especially with the guidance of their parents and teachers. With that, they are using something that will make the learning process easier.

Since we are in the digital age, most generation z children are visual learners. This means that they can learn the English language easier if they will watch some videos such as documentary shows (National Geographic Channel, Discovery Channel, and the like), news (CNN, BBC, and the like), kids’ shows (Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, Nickolodeon, Tayo the little bus, and the likes), Science channels (Global Science TV, Animal Planet, and the like), and many more. Once the children watched those videos for a long time, they will be able to learn how those words are used and pronounced by those people in the English shows. Another way to make the kids learn the language is by using educational books with photos and words such as short storybooks, activity books, and the like. As said, most of them are visual learners so they will appreciate the books more and learn fast if the book will help them to visualize the words, phrases, and sentences.

The learning materials would be helpful for the kids to learn the language if the parent or teacher knows how to use those. Aside from the above-mentioned materials, talking to the kids in English continuously will make them experts in speaking the language. That would be the best way to do it.
