【講師コラム】ナイラ講師No.2～The best summer vacation ever!～

Summer vacation is the best time of the year for students. It gives them an opportunity to take a break from their studies and daily routine, and just enjoy their time and relax.

One of my unforgettable summer vacation is when I visited my grandparents hometown. It’s in the countryside and far from the city life that I was accustomed to. My playground as a city girl is limited to only at the house and at school. My mother is overprotective and doesn’t allow me to play outside. She’s scared that I might get hurt, get a scar and look disheveled/ dirty. She even asked some of her friends to bring along their daughter at home just to play with me. Sounds funny but yeah, it’s true! I always remember spending my summer in the vastness of the fields and farm. My outdoor playground is massive that I never get tired of running around endlessly.
I also have great memories swimming in the river and playing tag with the kids I just met. I even learned how to catch a fish. My grandma is a great cook. I love the dishes she prepares for us. It’s all natural, fresh from the garden and poultry, and really mouth- watering that we relished every bite of it. Towards the evening, I listen to the frogs croaking while gazing and wishing at the stars up above. Moments like these is priceless and worth remembering. The best summer vacation ever!
