No.14 ~Rome was not built in one day~

Rome was not built in one day
Good day, everyone!!! I hope that all of you are having an amazing week… Christmas is coming sooooooo soon… Your little ones must be really excited about it, and busy thinking of what they’ll ask Santa to give them…
Anyway, today, I would like to share one of my favorite proverbs with you. Rome was not built in one day. I am sure some of you have already heard or read this somewhere. It really is simple, and its meaning is easy to understand, but I could say that we can apply this proverb in many different aspects in life, whether it be in studies, a happy and financially stable family life, a well loved and respected image, a successful business, or a bad habit that you are dying to break. This proverb simply wants to tell us that nothing great comes easy… It is an expression that upholds the power of hustle, patience and motivating determination in acquiring our dream or goal…
This saying really means a lot to me… I can still remember this was what my sister, Teacher Mel, told me when I was just a new tutor of Englishbuds… I had just a few students then, and I was always worried and sad that I was not doing well… But Ate Mel (ate is like one-chan in Japanese) would constantly cheer me up and would always tell me how she also struggled to get more students when she and Mommy Kayo have just started Englishbuds… I can also remember that she told me she struggled so much and was also not good at handling students before, but she worked hard and up until now, she does not stop finding ways to improve herself and her skills… She would constantly remind me to be patient and enjoy and learn from each lesson… She told me to keep going because MY ROME is waiting for me… And that was what I exactly did and will keep doing. I surely still have so many things to learn and improve in my way of teaching, but I am happy that I have already conquered the fear and anxiety that I was always feeling then every time I was meeting my students online… I am happy that I now have my own beautiful regular students as well… It took time for me to be the kind of tutor that I am now, and I know that I still have a long way to go to hone my skills as an English tutor, but I am not worried or feeling anxious anymore… I know that time will come, too… Of course, with Ate Mel and Mommy Kayo’s guidance, and with the help from my precious students and you, Mommies and Daddies…
Again, always remember that EVERYTHING TAKES TIME… ROME took years upon years to be built… We can build our own Rome (your dream/goal), too… Just never try to hurry and rush the process… Always choose to be patient and trust that what we are building will be beautiful and worth it…
Thank you, thank you sooooooooooooo much, Mommy Kayo, Ate Mel, Mommies and Daddies, and my beautiful and precious students… I will keep doing my best… Let us all work hard and happily until we build our own magnificent ROME…
