【講師コラム】ハーヴィー講師No.４～“The Lorax” Who Speaks for the Trees～

As a fan of animated movies, I have seen many great films throughout my life, but if I had to choose one that stands out as the best, it would be “The Lorax.”
The story follows a young boy named Ted, who lives in a city with no trees or nature. He sets out on a mission to find a tree for the girl he loves and discovers the story of the Lorax, a creature who speaks for the trees and fights against the greedy Once-ler.
“The Lorax” has had a real impact on the world around us. The movie inspired many people to take action to protect the environment, and it even led to the creation of the “Truffula Tree” project, which aims to plant more trees and restore areas that have been damaged by industrialization.
But what makes “The Lorax” truly amazing is its simple yet powerful message. The movie reminds us that we need to take care of the environment and all the creatures that call it home. It’s a message that’s especially important today, as we face the devastating effects of climate change and other environmental problems.
