【講師コラム】マデル講師No.18～A Dog’s Purpose; a movie would deeply move your heart…～

Hello again, everyone!!! How are things going with you all?.. It has been a while,  and I really am delighted that I could write and share my thoughts about a certain topic with you again, Mommies and Daddies…

            We were informed that this time that we would have to write about the best movie we have ever seen… My family and I really love watching movies, so I was quite excited when I learned about it… Actually, every time Teacher Mel comes home, we do a movie marathon until around six in the morning (6am)!!! Teacher Mel, our youngest sister, Sylvanna, and I usually watch horror, romantic comedy, and animated movies… But we also really love watching films about animals or pets…

          There are so many movies that I really, really, really love, so it is a little difficult to choose the best one for me… But if there is one movie that I would never get tired of watching again and again, that would be “A Dog’s Purpose”.

           A Dog’s Purpose follows the story of one dog and its owners throughout the years as it gets reincarnated into a different breed of dog with his memories from his past lives still intact every time it passes… This dog has always been curious about the purpose of his existence… Everything changes when he gets adopted by Ethan and formed this special and unbreakable bond with him… Ethan names him Bailey, but often calls him BIG BOSS… It is such a cute name, don’t you agree?.. The two practically grow up and do everything together… During their countless adventures Bailey joyously discovers how to be a good dog… But this life as a beloved family pet is not the end of Bailey’s journey. Reborn as a puppy yet again, Bailey wonders, will he ever find his purpose?..  

          Bailey gets reincarnated a few more times… But he never forgets about his boy, Ethan… One day, after he gets abandoned by his recent owner’s nasty boyfriend somewhere really far, he suddenly smells a very familiar scent… He follows it and gets extremely excited when it leads him to Ethan’s old house… Ethan, of course, does not recognize Bailey at first, but Bailey shows him the tricks that he and Ethan used to do when they were still together…  And, as you can all imagine, Ethan recognizes him… After that, Bailey always finds a way to come back to Ethan’s life every time he passes and reincarnates… And Ethan always waits for his BIG BOSS to come back to him…  

          If you are a dog person, this movie is going to wreck you emotionally more than a few times… Teacher Mel and l have watched this film a few times already and it still never fails to make us cry rivers every time we see it again…

          A Dog’s Purpose definitely is one movie that I would recommend anyone to watch… Aside from the fact that you’ll surely get inspired by this unbreakable bond between man and man’s best friend, this movie would teach you so many lessons in life… It teaches us that love never dies, that our true friends are always with us, that every creature on earth deserves to be loved and respected, and all beings are born with a purpose…          That it for me today, Mommies and Daddies… I hope that you had a nice time  reading my entry… Thank you so much for always supporting Englishbuds… And I really want to thank you, Mommies and Daddies for letting your little ones learn and have fun in English with me… I will continue to do better to help them enjoy their English learning journey more and more… Thank you always, Mommies and Daddies… Have an amazing and a fun-filled Golden Week!!!
