【新企画】英語でしっかりグラマーを学ぼ！～Jolly Grammar Blocks: Primary Grammar Essentials～

以前ブログで

Jolly Grammarをおうち英語っ子のためにカスタマイズしたい♪

で現行のJolly PhonicsとGrammarの問題点を書きましたが

よりおうち英語っ子に即したレッスンをご提供するため

基本方針について考えておりました✨

２０２４年前期クラスから

私のJolly Grammar１のレッスンご提供は中止させていただき、

Jolly GrammarのPhonicsとGrammarを

分離したクラスを新設する予定です♪

Jolly Grammarのカリキュラムは

PhonicsとGrammarの二本柱で構成されています。

Grammarでの語形変化などでPhonicsの知識を

実践的に活用していけるところは

GrammarとPhonicsを同時に学ぶメリットではあると思うのですが、

こちらのカリキュラムが周知できていないために

Phonics学習がJolly Phonics同音異綴りで

中断してしまわれる方が多かったり、

Grammarだけ習いたい方が

途中から学習し始めることを難しくしていました。

これまでレッスンをご提供してきて

残念ながらメリットよりデメリットの方が

上回っているように感じておりました。

また私のJolly Grammarのレッスンも

現実的に１～３をご提供できるのが精いっぱいで

結局４～６のGrammarの内容がフォローできないのも

問題点だと思っておりました💦

ということで、

バズでのニーズに即してカリキュラムを分離して

ご提供するのがベストなのではないかという考えに行き着きました。

２０２４年前期クラスより

Jolly Grammar１～３に含まれるPhonicsを

フォローするクラスを新設いたします✨

PhonicsはJolly Grammar３まで学習すればほぼ完了ですので

Phonicsの方はバッチリなサポートをさせていただけると思います！

一方、Grammarの方ですが

こちらはIzzyに担当してもらうことにしました♪

Jolly Grammarの魅力の一つである

Part of Speechのアクション、そしてカラーによる色分けなどの

アイデアをしっかりと取り入れつつ、

Spectrum Language Artsを演習テキストに据え、

体系的にGrammarを学んでいただきます。

日本の学校英語の問題点は

挙げればキリがありませんが、

一番は品詞を全く教えずにいきなりSVOCだの言い始めることかと・・・。

Jolly Grammarでも大切にされている

Part of Speech（品詞）、Punctuation（句読点）なども

しっかりとカリキュラムに盛り込んでまいります！

またGrammarのマスターには

十分な演習も欠かせません💦

現在のJolly Grammarレッスンでは

Jolly Grammar社からのテキストを利用しているのですが、

Phonics半分、Grammar半分という構成になっているため

演習問題が不足しているかなぁ・・・と感じてきましたので

その点もこちらの新規Grammarクラスでは解消したいと思っています♪

レッスンではIzzyによる

インタラクティブな活動を通して

グラマーのルール、知識を学んでいただき、

演習テキストとしてSpectrum Language Arts

のレッスン後に取り組んでいただきたいページを

こちらからご提示します✨

こうしてJolly Grammarに含まれるPhonicsを分離することで

Jolly Phonicsを学習されていない方にも

Jolly Grammarのコンセプトに触れていただける機会を

ご提供できる意義というのは大きいと考えています。

わが家の場合、

娘は文法をしっかりと体系的に学習させないまま

学校英語に突入したのですが

学校英語だと単なるテスト対策になってしまって

基本的な部分も馬耳東風になってしまっていた気がします。。。

未だに文法には自信がないと言いますし・・・( -_-)

一方、

ディスレクシア疑惑からJolly Grammarまで

学習することができた息子は

品詞と基礎的な文法をJolly Grammarで

学ぶことができたおかげで

学校英語の文法も受け入れることができているように感じます。

このような経緯から

私としては早め文法学習を推していきたいと思っています♪

そしてJolly Grammarを広めたい！

一人でも多くの人に届け～！

という願いを達成するために、

今日は新クラスとなる

の概要をお知らせし、

具体的なスケジュールを決めていきたいと考えております。

The “Building Blocks of English: Primary Grammar Essentials” curriclum is designed to lay a foundation for English grammar skills among primary students. This curriculum focuses on introducing and reinforcing the fundamental principles of grammar and language structure. Students will develop language skills, enhance their communication abilities and grow to love the language.

Day4	Warm up: Vocabulary building through picture-based activities Read simple sentences; Identify Pronouns, Adjectives and Preposition Written and Oral activities
Day5	Warm up: Review on Pronouns, Adjectives and Preposition Introduction to Sentences Read and Identify Sentences Form Simple sentences
Day6	Warm up: Vocabulary Building through games Introduction to statements Form Statements Written and Oral activities
