【講師コラム】イジー講師No.7～Harmonizing Talents: A Journey Through Dance, Creativity, and Sports～

Looking back when I was still a student, I have always loved the subjects: Music, Arts, and Physical Education. I enjoyed every activity and performance task our teacher required us. And I would give my best effort in every task.

There are three things why I developed an eagerness for this subject – dancing, the opportunity to unleash my creativity, and Sports.

I first discovered that I had a knack for dancing when my teacher back in high school encouraged me to join her dance group for an event in our school. I remember that It wasn’t too challenging for me to learn the choreography. Ever since then, whenever there was a group performance task that included dancing, my classmates would ask me to lead the group. I would first learn the dance and would sometimes create the steps then teach it to my group mates. Our teachers would often praise our performance and give us a high score. I still groove even up to this day. I enjoy dancing as a hobby and as an exercise. Additionally, whenever we were invited to a wedding, me and my mom would practice a performance for the wedding program. I guess I got this dancing talent from my mom ‘cause she’s got the moves as well.

I also have quite a talent for the arts. I can sketch both traditionally and digitally. I had a lot of time to practice my drawing skills during the pandemic. I am grateful that I have the chance to use my talent in teaching here in Englishbuds. My heart is filled with joy to meet students who share the same talent and passion for arts and drawing.

It’s good to discover your talent while still young. You can enhance it to become a skill that you can use to elevate your career when you grow up. However, talent can also be something that relieves you from stress. Thus, whether you are young or already an adult, you can always discover your talent/s and remember to keep practicing them.
